Position Summary:

Design, repair and analysis of electronic circuits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, test and validate analog circuits for public safety radio products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues of analog and P25 digital communicationssystems.
  • Evaluate components.
  • Able to do testing, measurements, and analyze data for analog circuits.
  • Generate and edit technical documents, schematics, layouts, and reports.
  • All duties assigned by Supervisor.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong Excel, Access, MS Word, Power Point, skills required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Linear and switching regulator design.
  • Audio amplifiers and operational amplifier circuits.
  • Use of electronic circuit evaluation equipment like an Oscilloscope, DMM, audio analyzer,etc.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

Position Summary:

Design, develop and maintain application software for land mobile radio (LMR) products. Develop software from low-level device interaction to user interface in C++. Port existing software to new products and implement public safety communication protocols. This job requires experience sufficient for the applicant to become immediately productive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain current line of products including bug fixes and customer-requested features.
  • Assist in optimizing, adapting and porting current software architecture to new product platforms.
  • Work closely with the hardware team to provide design feedback based on software limitations.
  • Assist in improving current software development processes.
  • Provide mentorship to development team.

Position Summary:

Position Summary:

The Customer Service Technician II is responsible for troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis with land mobile radio systems. The technician is responsible to work with portable, mobile, and occasionally base station radios. The Customer Service Technician II should have solid knowledge of electronics theory, advanced operations of radio equipment, functions of test and diagnostic equipment (Analyzers, power meters, and other specialized equipment) as well as capable to work with computer software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Test/troubleshoot to component level complex circuit card assemblies’ modules and assembled units
  • Use general purpose and complex or specialized test equipment to perform complex testing of components and assemblies
  • Assemble data and assist in the upkeep of documentation
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain specialized electronic test fixtures
  • Deal with more complex problems of test/troubleshooting
  • Assist engineering personnel in setting up test configurations for new designs
  • Develop theoretical working knowledge of complex digital or RF/Analog circuits
  • Understand the proper use of specialized test equipment
  • Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment and the nature of technical problems and possible solutions including part redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies
  • Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or to obtain data for development, standardization and quality control
  • Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data and make recommendations for changes in product or test method
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fault isolate complex CCAs down to the component level with some guidance
  • Ability to understand and operate spectrum analyzers and power meters
  • The RF Electronics Technician must have the ability to work in a production environment and follow standard manufacturing processes to include ESD requirements

Position Summary:

A Technician is responsible for testing, evaluation, and repair of electronic devices and products to ensure the products perform to their proposed functions in a satisfactory manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform PCBA, Unit and Top-level testing and analysis for BK Technology products; troubleshoot and repair products as required to meet performance requirements.
  • Record and maintain troubleshooting and repair information.
  • Uses technical expertise to determine most cost-effective level of service/repair (Unit, PCBA, or component level).
  • Provide technical assistance to Production, Service, and Engineering departments as required.
  • Supports the development and upkeep of procedures and work instructions.
  • Identifies and documents opportunities to improve designs/processes for Manufacturing, Service, and Sales (DFM/DFX).
  • Calibrate and maintain test stations and equipment to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Perform duties with little or no supervision; other duties as assigned to support Operational needs.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Able to interpret Electronic schematics and knowledge of basic electronics theory.
  • Proper use of test equipment including Oscilloscope and DMM (Digital Multi Meter) in the area of trouble-shooting and equipment functionality.
  • Knowledge of advanced quality problem solving techniques used in root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone diagram, etc.).
  • Proficient in soldering and re-work techniques in accordance with IPC-610 and IPC-7711.
  • Familiar with IPC-7711 Electronic Assembly and rework standards, IPC-A-600 Acceptability of Printed Boards, as well as other applicable standards relevant to PCB and PCBA fabrication and quality is a plus.
  • Proper working knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge). Successful completion of ESD training.
  • Lean Manufacturing (or Six Sigma) experience is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and Power Point required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Position Summary:
