James Teel is the General Manager, Solutions Business of BK Technologies. With more than 40 years of experience in the wireless communications industry, James brings expertise in product development, business strategy, and public safety communications.
At BK Technologies, James leads the company’s Solutions business unit, focusing on a portfolio of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and traditional software products that expand mission-critical communications through innovative broadband/LMR convergence solutions. James works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new solutions that enhance the safety and productivity of public safety professionals.
Prior to joining BK Technologies, James held leadership roles at L3Harris Corporation, including Director of Product Line Management and Director of Business Development for the Public Safety & Professional Communications division. James also served in senior roles at UT Starcom, Commworks, and 3Com, and began his career at GE/Ericsson, where he advanced from software engineer to positions in engineering management, product management, and business development.
James received his BS in Computer Science from West Virginia University and an MBA from Duke University.
