John Suzuki is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Board Director of BK Technologies. John is a proven leader in the mobile communications industry with over 35 years executive-level experience in sales and marketing, operations, product development, and supply chain.
Since joining BK Technologies in July 2021, John has implemented transformational business strategies including the move to an asset-light, outsourced manufacturing model, the launch of the BKR9000 multi-band radio, and the creation of the BK ONE business unit focused on innovative interoperable communication platform solutions. Under John’s leadership, BK Technologies has experienced sustained growth and increased profitability with the company’s EBITDA currently exceeding 20%.
Before joining BK Technologies, John served as President and CEO of EF Johnson Technologies, a division of JVC KENWOOD land mobile radio manufacturer, where he also drove strong growth including the doubling of revenue during his four-year tenure.
John received his BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Ottawa and MBA from Duke University and began his career as the Manager of Product Development at Ericsson, a company known for its pioneering role in developing mobile communication systems. John spent 13 years at Ericsson and held multiple leadership roles of increasing responsibility including General Manger of Land Mobile Radio, General Manager of Service, and Vice President of Supply.
After Ericsson, John was Senior Vice President of Sales at EF Johnson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at 3eTI, and Senior Vice President of Sales at Avtec Incorporated and then returned to EF Johnson as President and CEO.
